A secondary, globally available realisation. OpenStreetMap trails the authoritative data with some delay, but provides immediate, join-free geometry access globally.
OSM Tag Mappings
OSM stores addresses as addr:* tags directly on nodes and building polygons.

Spatial Access Path
Direct Access: The node or polygon itself carries the geometry. No join chain is needed.
Limitations:
- OSM addresses typically lack dwelling-level precision (e.g. no floor or door identifiers).
- OSM has no authoritative provenance.
